My Poem for Jack

Published by katiecash91 at 10:42 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

So in 5th period, Jack asked me to do his Modern Literature poem for him about things he carries. Here’s how it went:

In my pocket, I carry a pen,

not just one, I carry ten.

In my pocket, I bear a phone,

Along with my dinner- a chicken bone.

Okay, that’s a lie; I don’t carry a bone,

But it is still true that I carry my phone.

A wallet is kept in my back pocket,

and a picutre of Katie is in my locket.

In this wallet, I keep my cash,

I’m saving up for a birthday bash.

Along with my license, I hold a gym card,

so I don’t get  in trouble or turn into lard.

In my backpack, there is a lot of stuff,

By carrying a lot, I’m bound to get buff.

I have notebooks, books, and more.

So my stuff, I’m almost poor.

I carry an iPod to listen to a good tune,

It’s so relaxing while watching the moon.

Somewhere unknown, I have my keys

To get home for dinner and eat my peas.

There are different sorts of gum and mints,

Along with this, there are handfuls of lint.

Oh look, I’ve finally found my keys

after traveling among the Seven Seas.

I carry this, I carry that,

I carry myself, A.K.A.: Jack.
